Car Stereos: Pioneer DEH 10 Car Stereo, blue ant, car stereo

Question
Can you help me troubleshoot my Pioneer DEH-10MP car stereo. I installed it myself. I turned it on (I didn't turn the engine on) and everything seemed to be working fine. I turned my car off and finished the mounting and turned the car on (this time I started the engine) and this time no power to it at all. I checked the wires and the yellow and white wires came undone. I pulled it out and recrimped the two wires and tried to doe it all over again and still no power. I examined all the wires carefully and they are all connected and crimped perfectly. I don't know what else to do and I am extremely frustrated. Do you think you can help me?  Thank you.

Answer
Saul,  You have a common problem of new installers.  When your power wire came loose, it probably touched a piece of metal under the dash, and caused you to blow a fuse.  After double checking all of your connections, especially the ground, check your fuses and replace any that are blown.  That should fix the problem.  If not, you will need to check the power coming in on the yellow and red wires.  If they both have power, and the ground is connected properly, then there may be an internal problem with the radio.  On a side note, be sure the blue "ant" wire is properly insulated.  If it touches metal, it will cause damage to the radio.  Hope this helps, Scott
