Car Stereos: Radio Doesnt Turn On, jeep grand cherokee, kenwood excelon

Hi, I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a Kenwood excelon KDC-X792 installed. It is only about a month old, and a week or so ago it started to cut out when I would turn it up. When I got in my car the other morning in was completely unresponsive. I have checked everything and rewired everything. This isn't the first time this has happened though, before the Kenwood I had a Pioneer, which did the exact same thing. I thought the Pioneer had issues but now I think it might be something with the car. Have you ever heard of this happening? Any suggestions? Please HELP I'm already on my fourth radio.

Just to clarify: is the head unit turning off entirely, with no lights or display, or is it turning on and keeping the display working, but with no sound?

If it's turning off entirely, will it still load and eject CDs?
