Car Stereos: Jeep infinity gold turn on signal problem, infinity gold, haynes manual

Question
Hello Sir.

I am replacing a stock radio head unit in a grand cherokee with a spare chrysler am/fm radio that came from a wrecked van of ours.  pleasingly the connectors fit the "new" radio and I can power it and get audio on some headphones using jumpers.  However, I have tried several permutations of connecting the green and red infinity amp control wire to ground on the new radio (on the advice of installdr)but cant get the inifinity amp to turn on.  in the stock hu the turn on wire is connected to the black multi plug and i am not sure where it goes once inside the radio.  maybe to ground but the haynes manual doesn't say.

any help would be most welcome TIA.

Regards
Mike

Answer
Well Mike, According to my research, here is the wiring codes for the Infinity.

Hope it helps!
