Car Stereos: Static InSpeaker, channel amp, fround


Question
i Have just installed o2 audio 51/4 and 1 inch tweeters. i have a power wire running to the kenetic battery and fround to the car. i have 2 power wires running of the battery(1 for sub amp and 1for the 4 channel amp. ihave the remote wire running from amp to amp.i have speaker wire going to two rear speaker and then two front door speakers. i connected the the tweetersand speaker wire rightto the 51/4 door speake terminals. when the radio is turned on there is a lot of interferance and static in the speaker. any help???

Although there are many things that may be causing this, I would start with your ground wires.  It is very important to run big ground wires to the nearest ground point in the car.  The shorter the ground, the less interference will be heard.  After that, be sure all connections are right and tight.  If all is connected right and good short grounds, and interference continues, a noise filter may be required for the power wires coming from the battery.  Hope this helps, Scott
