Car Stereos: Will this amp work with these subs, watts rms, polk momo

Question
i'm wanting to buy a polk/MOMO mono amp with an output power of 350 watts x 1 at 4 ohms and (500 watts x 1 at 2 ohms) to power 2 - 12" polk/MOMO subs with a power handling of 75 - 400 watts (rms) and peak power of 800 watts.

here's a link to the subs and amp.

Answer
Hi Adam,

It looks like a good match to me.

When you connect two of those subs to the amplifier, the final impedance at the amp will be 2 ohms.  The amplifier can produce 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms.  The power output is divided evenly between the two subs, so each subwoofer gets 250 watts.   That falls nicely within the recommended power range of 75-400 watts for each sub.

I think that subwoofer and amplifier combination will work very well.

Thanks for your question!
