Hi, It it possible to hook up my hot wire to a spare battery? When I turn my music up my headlights blink to the beat.

Yes, you can hook it up to a spare battery, and it may fix your problem.  You will want to wire to your new battery together with the old to keep it charged by the alternator.  There is a much cheaper and simpler solution to your problem.  You can buy a capacitor and wire in between your battery and your amp, and it will keep your lights from blinking to the music.  The capacitor should be wired close to the amp, and I recommend 1 farad or larger capacity.  Much easier and safer fix than the spare battery, and you should hear a much punchier sound coming from your bass.  Hope this helps, Scott
