Motorcycle Repair: relocation of indicators, virago 535, relocation bracket

Question
I want to fit saddlebags to my virago 535 but have to move my indicators. Is this a hard job as I am not very mechanically minded but willing to give it a try. Please talk me through what I would have to do .Thanks Lynda.

Answer
Lynda,

the turn signals or indicators are each
held on with one 12mm? nut. Use a wrench on these.

-The left signal has a chocolate colored
wire and a black ground wire.

-The right signal has a dark green wire
and black ground wire.

-you have to unplug these wires to remove the lights.
The ends may be under the seat. The seat
may have two bolts near the front and then it
slides forward to remove.

-you need a relocation bracket of some sort to bolt
the lights onto:

-just bolt your lights on the new bracket,
and then you may have to cut and extend and tape
up the wires to get them plugged in again.
-Just hook them up according to the colors
I mentioned above.
That's basically it.
