Car Stereos: car stereos, factory speakers, car stereos

Question
hello, ive bought a kenwood (KDC-W5541U) head unit and would like to run 6 speakers in my car. i would like to run rainbow components off an amp, and a sub either off the same amp or buy one with a built in amp. i had the fli active 10 in mind. the other four speakers are legacy tweeters and pyle 6x4s that are fitted as replacements to the factory speakers. the cars a mk2 golf by the way.
id just like to know if what i have in mind is achievable and the best way to do it. i only want the sub and components to be run off an amp (or 2 amps!) im pretty newbie with car stereos so any help would be much appreciated thanks, ian.

Answer
Hi Ian,

I used to own an MK3 Golf years ago, and I had 9 speakers in it.  So to answer you question, yes you most certainly can.  You just gotta be willing to do the work to install it.

I would suggest running the smaller speakers ( <= 3.5" ) off of the deck, and anything larger off of an amplifier or two (it's dependent entirely on what you're looking for, and your budget).
