Car Stereos: car audio, hi tommy, rubbing alcohol

I have a 04 tahoe the front door base speaker goes on and off when I hit a bump I checked connection to speakers and stereo no luck on shortage do u know of any other place to check for shortage

The likely scenario isn't a short, just a loose or corroded wire.

Pull the door panel off and check the speaker leads going into the speaker.  If there's any white buildup on them, it's probably your problem.  Give them a good cleaning with a brush and some rubbing alcohol, and it should fix up your problem.
