Car Stereos: scion xB radio antenna, signal amplifier, radio antenna

My window mounted antennas dont work very well on my 2006 xB. I was inquiring if there is a outside mounted antenna for it, or if there is a true fix. I have tried to use a booster, but was disappointed by the fact it did nothing. I live in Pheonix, Az and i never had problems with radio signals before. but then again, never had window mounted once either. thank you for your time

Hi Curtis,

Winegard makes a particularly good aftermarket FM signal amplifier that does a pretty good job of differentiating noise and static from signal.

All newer cars have smaller antennae they use to pick up signals in favour of sleeker designs and aesthetics.  Unfortunately, it's what pretty much every car company has started doing; Toyota is no different.
