When my car is on acc the stereo works fine but when i turn on the car the stereo turns off and only sometimes it works its a 00 Cavalier

Hi Sheldon,

It sounds like you're dealing with a corroded wire or loose connection.  The heat generated by the engine and/or the power draw that comes with the car being on can cause it to flake out.  Trace the wire back into the dash as far as you can and see if you can locate the issue.
