Car Stereos: amp on a ttrail blazer, chevy trail blazer, 2005 chevy trail blazer

hey bro. i have a 2005 chevy trail blazer it has a navagation system and the bose sound system so i want to keep the factory stereo.
But i want to add sum power with an amplifier and a subwoofer. i need to know what type of an adapter i need to get so i can have input output hook ups!!

Hi Edgar,

You'll need to either buy a high level to low level converter from a computer shop, or an amplifier that takes high level inputs.  In either case, you'll want to tap it into the rear speaker wires somewhere near the deck (where the wires are close together), and then run the tapped wire to the converter or the amp.  If you used a converter, you then use the RCAs plugged into the converter and plug them into an amp like any other system.
