Car Stereos: installing subwoofer to 2007 pontiac g5, level converter, speaker line

I installed a amplifier and subwoofer but dont know which wires I should tap to get audio to the amp for the new subwoofer. Tried to tap wires from factory installed sub but get no sound . Hope you can help me. Thanks through.

Hi Ben,

Your options are to either buy a speaker -> line level converter, or an amp that has high level inputs.

Then, your best bet is to tap into the rear left and right speaker wires coming off the back of the deck -- this guarantees you're not tapping common ground wires or something else weird with the factory subwoofer.
