Car Stereos: cd changer, car battery, murano

hi,
My 2004 Murano's 6 cd changer would not play any cds anymore. Any time you insert a cd, it will say loading and then it will ask you to press 'eject'.
I dont want to show it to a professional, Can I do this myself by taking it out or putting in a cd cleaner?

Please help me with this. I hope u understand my Q.

Hi Jameel,

First step is to try a CD cleaner.  If the lens is dirty, that'll fix it up.  Second, disconnect your negative lead from your car battery, wait 20 minutes, and put it back.  In the event there's some mode or something that's gotten into your CD changer's memory that's not going away, it can cause it to behave erratically.  If your stereo has a lock code, make sure you have it and know how to unlock it before you do this though.

If that doesn't do it, you'll have to take it to a shop for repair/replacement.
