Car Stereos: Car speakers, infinity speakers, internal amplifier

Question
I have a Pioneer Super Tuner III with Infinity speakers on my boat. After playing them all day a week ago I come back the next day to find the radio works fine as far as turning on, the satelite sytem seems to be working and power is to everything but I am not getting any sound from any of the 4 speakers. I did not play them extremely loud to blow them up or anything. I've checked and double checked the wiring and all seems in order. Any ideas as to why I'm not getting sound?

Answer
Hi Brent,

First thing to try is to remove the harness from the back of the deck; most Pioneer decks have a small ~5A or so fuse behind the harness that powers the internal amplifier.  See if it's shot.  If it is, replace it.  (They're available at any hardware store; they're basically tiny automotive fuses).

If that doesn't fix it, try getting another speaker from somewhere, and connecting it to one of the set of speaker leads so you can verify whether either the deck has died, or the speakers have all fried somehow (unlikely).
