Car Stereos: lincoln amplifier wiring, wire colors, lincoln continental

The factory amp in my 1999 lincoln continental has gone bad. Instead of replacing with OEM, i have an amp and sub i want to install. What are the wire colors for the stereo out/amp inputs from the factory stereo? Plug going into the amp has these wires... thin brown/orange and red/black, 2 thin black/green, light blue/purple and then 2 thick green/purple. Any help would be awesome.

Justin,  I do not have model specific information, because there are so many makes and models out there, it would be impossible to know them all.  Instead, I would suggest going to modifiedlife.com and search for your car's wiring diagram or goto an online forum that specializes in your car's make and model.  They should have someone who has done exactly what you are wanting to do, and can give you any tips or tricks to help in the transition.  Hope this helps, Scott
