Car Stereos: Audio installation, kicker amps, amp power

If I have two kicker 1000x1 mono class d amps and want to use 2 15" L7 squares to run independently one on each amp. What would be the better sub to use a 2ohm or 4ohm since each have their own power from different amps?

Dual 4ohm wired down to 2ohm would be your best bet. kicker amps are 2ohm stable only so you got to match the impedance on the sub with the one on the amp, if you get a 2ohm sub you can only wire it up to 4ohm because if you go to 1ohm that amp will not be stable, but at you will be cutting amp power in almost half. hope i didnt confuse you too much, so yeah get a 4ohm and wire them down to 2ohm, if you need help with this please let me know ill be glad to help you.
