Toyota Repair: 4WD, 4wheel drive, indicator light

My 4WD was new in 1995. I never used the 4WD. I am concerned it may have locked from disuse. If I use it now - what damage could occur? Thanks.

Have you tried using 4 wheel drive? I don't think there is anything to be concerned about, go ahead and try using it but make sure you are actually off-road ie: on dirt raod, do not attempt to use it on pavement. One way to make sure that the 4wheel drive is engaged is to watch the indicator light on the dash, when it's on it's in 4x4.
