Car Stereos: car speakers, aftermarket stereo, car harness

i have a 1997 pontiac grand am i just got done wiring the new cd player into the old existing wires but now the wires going to the speakers are there but do not work and ive done everything i know to do to get them to work if u know something i dont email me at alexbarr731@gmail.com thanks

Hi Alex,

For installing an aftermarket stereo, the best thing you can do is to visit your local car stereo shop and buy a harness for your car.  It shouldn't cost more than $15 or $20.  Reconnect the old harness (just make sure the colours match up), and then connect your new stereo harness to the car harness, and you'll be good to go, and you'll know for sure which wire goes where.
