Car Stereos: all dashboard lights off, dashboard lights, wire harnesses

I recently installed a new cd player/radio in my 1995 toyota corolla. everything works fine, except now my dashboard lights don't light. I checked to make sure all wire harnesses were re-connected. Is there a fuse for just the dashboard lights? where is it located?

Hi Dan,

I don't know off-hand the dash wiring in the '95 Corolla, but the fuse panel should be by the driver's left knee when seated in the car.  If you pull out the cover from the panel, it should be labelled.

What I'd figure happened is that you've knocked a harness loose elsewhere behind the dash for the dash lighting.  Check all the plastic clips behind the deck (and in its vicinity) where you installed the deck, and make sure they're all plugged in tightly.
