Car Stereos: amp isnt working, radio repair shop, protected mode

My amp stopped working yesterday and i had a friend who looked at it he said he wasn't sure why but my amp was going into protected mode, there is power to it and all the connections are tight the fuse in not blowin so does this mean that i need a new amp?

  90% of the time in your situation The amp is bad. The good news is it could be just a bad soder connection inside the amp. you can take it to the nearest TV & Radio repair shop and get it looked at. I'm not sure about the price of that though. More than likely your amp is too small for the sub(s). If it ends up being too expensive to fix or not fixable, let me know and send me some specifications on your system and I'll try finding you a good deal.
