QUESTION: well i bought it about 8 months ago. i havent really done anything to it yet, thats why i figured i would ask. i know whats what and all my friends teach me what i need to know. and i am willing to spend what ever it takes. i was thinking about puting 4.11 rear end in my car to give it that boost off the line.

Answer
Gearing needs to be matched with the powerband of the engine. so I would focus on improving your torque output by adding headers with free flow mufflers, a better intake manifold and a higher cfm carb. Next I would look at a performance cam. Don't listen to friends for a recommendation. Call the cam companies and give them your specs. They will match a cam to your combo. If you are running an automatic, consider a performance torque converter and a shift kit.

Finally, once you have all the power, look at traction control such as tubular rear control arms. I would also go to the track and watch similar cars run. Then talk to the owners and see what the use.
