Im just starting to build a 77 camaro for the local 1\8th mile drag strip, this is my first drag car so i was wondering if you could give me an idea on what my times might be with my setup, I have a complete fiberglass front end and 3.73 gears, thats about all chassis wise other than subframe connecters. for driveline, i am running a factory bored 350, with proform aluminim heads, a .488 lift cam, 292duration. edelebrock performer rpm airgap intake and a holley 750 dual feed, also have heddmen ceramic headers and a t-350 tranny with a b&m shift kit.....bottom end of engine is stock....i know its alot to ask but was just wonderin if you could give me approximate flywheel hp.
ANSWER: I will need more info to give you an accurate answer. What are your cam specs or cam P/N? How much does your car weigh? What is your compression ratio? Do you have a high stall torque converter? Is this a drag only car or will it see street duty also?

QUESTION: hi mike, comp is about 9.5 :1, usinga 2800 stall, is gonna see street use but not a daily driver. the heads are 202 160, but i dont have the flow #s handy. not sure of car weight woth fiberglass fron end but believe the original weight was 2500lbs.
AnswerWith the data you have provided me it looks like you will run the 1/4 in 13.5. That stall speed is kind of low for the duration of cam you are using. I would bump it up to 3200. You can check out my website www.lyonsperformance.com and click on the cutom order form for the converters. We will get you a more accurate stall and a custom converter for what you would pay for an off the shelf unit. That weight doesn't sound right. Look at the title for the car, it has the weight listed there.
As for HP your making around 350. I would ditch the 750 and go with a Holley 650 vac secondary. Better throttle response and the airflow is better matched to your engine size.
