Auto Racing: Working on my Mustang, strut towers, gas shocks

Question
Hey,
I was just wondering if you could tell me if i'm doing anything wrong with upgrading my '89 Mustang GT. So far I have all the suspension taken care of, (sub-frames, strut towers, gas shocks etc.), intake, headers, cat-less exhaust, 70mm throttle body. What i plan on doing next is putting in a stage 2 cam and getting it ported & polished. Is there anything i should do before this?

Answer
Garrett-

Sounds like you've got a pretty good handle on what to do.  If money is an issue you can port and polish the heads, but if you're willing to spend a bit more I'd definitely go with a good set of aftermarket heads.  The power difference won't be massive (assuming you get a good port job), but it'll be there.  You might also consider upgrading the fuel pump to at least a 190lph unit.  A 255lph pump would be even better but again, not necessary.  Hope this helps.
