John,

I cleaned the power seat switches as per instructions I found on the Internet, and that did the trick.

Question -
Any idea what's wrong with my power seats in my '97 Disco...  The driver's side only works when the drivers door is open.  I can't get the
passenger side to work at all.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Answer -
Sounds like the convienience relay is not switching on.  Go to www.landrovertechinfo.com and get the wiring diagram.  There are no computers or fancy circuits - just hand tests with a multimeter.

Answer
It's good they are working.  Cleaning the contacts often works when a seat does not move at all in one or more ranges of motion.  But cleaning won't help a seat that works door open and does not work door closed.  That's a relay problem, as I indicated.

Still, if it's decided to work again and cleaning fixed the other side, you're OK for now.
