Auto Racing: Where to start???, ford galaxie, mustang 65

i wish to make a career out of drag racing. im only 17. its my dream. but i dont have a lot of money but i was wondering if you know of a good car to start off for like local street night racing etc etc without having to put to much money into a car. personally i would like to buy an older ford muscle car since i have a 460 laying in my yard. thanks in advance

You honestly need to decide on the car first. I wouldn't use a ford 460 for a race motor. The FE blocks (352,360,390, and 428) would be a better choice. As far as a body to put it in a early years mustang (65,66,67) would be sweet and as far as I know the make swap kits for the 65 and 66 as the big block was not an option. a ford galaxie 2 door would harness the power and is a lighter car too...
