QuestionMr. Liddy,
I've been searching for a definition to Turbonetics O, P and Q trims but have found no answers. I assume it might be related to inducer or exducer size of the compressor wheel but I'm clueless.
The reason I ask is because most vendors ask what trim you'd like (i.e. O,P,Q) along with the compressor trim (50, 54, 69, etc) and Turbine A/R (.58, .69, .81 etc).
I know I want a Turbonetics T04E with a 60 trim compressor and a .69 hotside but am unsure of how the O, P, and Q trim plays into. Any help would be much appreciated!

AnswerHi David: Sorry to disappoint you but in my kinds of racing , turbochargers are not allowed.
I have virtually no knowledge of thier workings, much less the fine tuning .
There's a shop in the Atlanta area called 'Turbo Tom's' , he seems to be the guru in this part of the country. He built a Datsun 510 that outruns a 427 Cobra at Road Atlanta!
I don't have any contact information, but Google should be help.
Best of luck !
