Wondering if it is possible to put a v8 into a Ford Focus Hatchback

  Yes, it's possible.  I've seen a few shop-sponsored cars (mostly from Europe, oddly enough) that have had V8 conversions.  The problem is that these shops have all the time and tools in the world to make it happen...especially since the swap makes a rear wheel drive conversion necessary, as well.  Basically, it can be done, but requires a ton of fabrication and would require really deep pockets unless you're very skilled at fabrication.  Hope this helps.
