I am curious about what I can do to put a little more kick in my 2004 mustang GT. Its automatic, convertable. Will nitros oxide blow the eng.? If not what kind of kit should I buy.  I also thought about changing to a lower gear rear end. I would have bought the Cobra but didn't want to change gears anymore. I am not rich, just an old 63 year old dude in my 2nd childhood. (DID THE CHIP, AND EXHAUST CHANGE ALLREADY). Thanks.

STEVE, THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR PROMPT ANSWER TO MY ABOVE QUESTION.  I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ASK YOU A COUPLE MORE.  FIRST HOW DISTRUCTIVE WOULD NITROS BE TO MY ENGINE IF I STAY UNDER 100HP KIT, AND BUY THE KIT YOU SUGESTE
(ZEX)? ALSO HOW MUCH WORK IS IT TO INSTALL? THANKS AGAIN, TOM.

Answer
Tom-

Anything under a 100hp shot shouldn't be destructive at all provided you keep the engine in a good state of tune (I would recommend getting a set of spark plugs that are 2 steps "colder", though.  Any nitrous manufacturer can recommend a good set of plugs for their kits).  Keeping the engine in a good state of tune will prevent detonation and make the nitrous work better for you.  As for installation, the Zex kit in ridiculously easy to install.  The hardest part is running the nitrous lines and wiring everything together.  That's pretty much all there is to it.  Hope this helps.
