Auto Racing: Racing Clutch, performance clutches, kia spectra

Question
I have a 2001 Kia Spectra GSX.  I plan on adding many modifications to it in the future.  Right now it is completely stock.  I bought it used and the previous owner must have road the clutch a lot because it's going to need a new one in the near future.  If I put in a racing clutch with stock everything else, will that be okey, or are there supporting mods that need to be added along with the racing clutch?

Well...I'd never recommend putting a racing clutch into a street car.  There are plenty of companies out there making good street performance clutches and race clutches are generally too hard to work with for a street car.  Also, I'm not sure how many performance clutches are out there for Kias.  I don't mean this in a harsh way, but I just don't see a whole lot of people modifying Kias to the point where they'd need an aftermarket performance clutch.  That said, I'd look around online to see if anyone makes them.  If there are performance models out there, go easy on your launches.  Performance clutches grip harder than stock clutches and you could cause drivetrain damage due to the shock of power hitting the transmission so suddenly.  Hope this helps.
