NASCAR Racing: Foreigners, tony stewart denny hamlin, juan pablo montoya

I am familiar with NASCAR but just started getting into it this year watching the Daytona 500.
I see some drivers driving Toyota? What about Honda?
Also there are some foreign born drivers.
When did this start?
I wonder if Japanese and German cars and foreign drivers will take over?

Hey Bud,

In fact, toyota had a weak year last year.  However, they got the team of Joe Gibbs racing to swap to them. (Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch).  They might even have a car or two in the chase this year.  Honda has not chosen to enter NASCAR, although the possiblity is not barred. Actually, any manufacturer can enter competition, as long as they have a car with acceptable standards. When you say foreign born, i assume you are primarily concerned with Jacques Villavenue or Juan Pablo Montoya.  First, this is Jacques first year in the series so we'll see what he pans out to be like.  However, Montoya is a egocreep jerk who i don't like, neither do the drivers.
