NASCAR Racing: NASCAR Travel, ray evernham, california speedway

Question
QUESTION: I travel the Ohio Turnpike and occasionally see the equipment trucks heading to the next race.  Yesterday because the race had been delayed and the next race is Saturday they seemed to be travelling in packs.  My Question:  How many vehicles (i.e. equipment trucks, motorhomes, vendors) travel from venue to venue each week?
How many miles do they travel in a season?

ANSWER: The amount of vehicles will vary from race to race, depending on the amount of teams that decide to enter that race. For example, the more popular races such as the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 may see a total of 60 entries compared to the average 49 entries. Each race allows for 43 cars, so that is 43 equipment trucks, 43 motorhomes (drivers only), and somewhere around 70 licensed vendors (some drivers have more than one vendor trailer). The teams that qualifying every week travel around 3500 miles each year, not including test sessions, and other things such as appearances.

QUESTION: Thank you for  your prompt response but you missed the whole scope of my question.  What about Busch cars, the trucks, Goodyear, ESPN, PRN, NASCAR, Sunoco and all of the other companies that support the sport?  And as far as miles...  Charlotte, where a good number of teams are headquartered, to the California speedway and back is over 4800 miles and that's just one trip.

Answer
Sorry about that last response, I meant 35,000 miles not 3,500. Ray Evernham states that in a single year they travel around 50,000 miles by ground. Take that times it by 86 (Busch and Cup) drivers, around 80 vendors, and the 20 or 30 etc. vehicles. This is just a rough estimate but the answer I got was 9,800,000 miles. Remember that this is an estimate of total vehicles, and that there is probably more vehicles.
