NASCAR Racing: drivers who finished race 1 or more laps ahead of 2nd place, nascar races, superbirds

I need to know how many nascar races have been won by 1 lap or more,and what years.If the number of races are to many,please just give me some highlights.I know B.P. won one in the 70's,but didn't petty also do it in one of the superbirds?I really need a answer to this,as a friend of mine,just bet me that the first person to do this was Jeff Gordon!Please help me set him straight.THANKS

Hi Chris,

I do not personally know every race where this has happened.  But the website www.racing-reference.info has stats from every single race ever since it was called the Grand National Series.  This site could probably answer all of your questions.  Hope i helped!!
