NASCAR Racing: Fewest Cars on Lead Lap Finish, charlotte race, nascar

Question
Wondering if you know which race boasted the FEWEST number of cars at the finish, and fewest on the lead lap?  After Saturday night's Charlotte race, I'm wondering if we came close to setting a record!

Answer
There have been many races with 1 car on the lead lap over the years. Back before NASCAR made all the cars so similar there were times when the winner lapped the field many times.
As for the fewest finishers (in the modern era, post 1971), I believe that honor goes to the 7/27/86 Talledega race when only 14 cars were running at the end.
