NASCAR Racing: NASCAR Accident, nascar winston cup, cale yarborough

Question
A few years ago, I'm guessing 10 or so, a car flipped over the wall in a NASCAR Winston Cup race. I don't remember who the driver was or the track or any of the circumstances. I would like to know who, what, when, where & what ever became of the driver. I know this is very trivial but I guess that's what it's all about! Thanks.
Greg

Answer
The last time I can remember a car going OVER the wall and outside the track was in 1965. You may feel like it was recent because The Wide World of Sports used the clip in their introduction for about 30 years.
Bobby Allison got airborne and went up into the catch fence at Talledega in the mid 80's but did not go out of the track. That caused the birth of restrictors.
Sorry, just can't think of any other cars going over the wall since 1965.
By the way, that was Cale Yarborough who went over the wall in the Junior johnson #27 Ford at Darlington on the 119th lap of the Sept. 6 Southern 500. Cale's quote, "I knew I was in trouble when I saw grass, because I know there ain't no grass on a race track."
