NASCAR Racing: local hero, ontario motor speedway, larry phillips

Question
Looking for any info, about Larry phillips  of Springfield, Mo. in Winston Cup. This would be mid to late 70s maybe. I know of one attempt at Daytona for sure. any info would be appreciated.
thanks.

Answer
Finding an "attempt to make a race" is darn near imposiible if they didn't make the race so I can only find you actual races run.

Larry made one official start in NASCAR WC racing on Nov. 21, 1976 at Ontario  Motor Speedway in Ontario, California. He started the #55 Haddick Ford in 24th place and finished in 13th (still running) after completing 188 of 200 laps (David Pearson won in the Woods Bros. Mercury, the only car on the lead lap). His grand total "money won" in NASCAR: $1990.00. Another Haddick Ford #67 with Sonny Easley finished right behind him in 14th.

Easley was killed at Riverside, CA a little more than a year later in Jan. of '78.
