BMW Repair: BMW Z3 will not start, bmw z3, cylinder engines

Question
Battery went flat trying to jump start but no joy.
All  Just makes a Clicking/ticking sound....electrics & electronics are working. It does not even turn over.
Any suggestions?

Not knowing what engine you have makes it difficult to answer.
Assuming there is power getting to the solenoid, hit the starter with something while trying to crank it over.
The 4 cylinder engines were known for sticking starters, if this works ,replace the starter.
