BMW Repair: drivers side window, window switches, 318is

I have a 1998 318is 2 door coupe, my drivers side window will go down but not back up, I worked on it a bit and got it up manually, tried it again and it went down but again not back up. Is there a resetting process or something I can do to fix it. thanks

Unless ou found something broken in there (a clip along the mechanism), either the motor or the regulator or the switch is bad.

Does it move up at all?  Any noise, etc?  If not, it could be the switch.  Try swapping the switch with one of the other window switches.

If not switch, it's likely the motor.  These can be replaced, but they are a significant job.
