BMW Repair: stalling/clutch, bmw 318i, radio code

Question
I have a 1994 bmw 318i convertible I live in the USA.  I recently had a new clutch put in.  When I got the car back it keeps stalling while driving and at a stop. And now the radio doesn't work it displays the word 'code'. When you put the car in 1st gear the clutch pops out. It seems the car starts to stall when it gets hot and it has odor or burning smell.  Can you please tell me what these idiots did to my car..... Thank you

Answer
On the stalling, clutch popping back out, and the odor, it's hard to say what they did, but you should take it back ASAP.  The sooner they get it back, the better your chances of having them take care of it.  Could be an adjustment, an overfilling, or ???

For the radio, it means the battery was disconnected for a period of time.  You need to re-enter your radio code.  Often it's kept in the glove compartment or in the manual.  If you can't find it, it will require you to call the dealer.

That's a very good car.....take it back and get the clutch done up to your satisfaction, get the radio working again, and enjoy it a long time!
