BMW Repair: noise when I start the car and move the steering wheel (not all the time), sound thanks, steering wheel

Does my 2004 BMW X-5 have a power steering resevoir? If so, where and what do I put into it? I think it may be low as I hear a noise when I start the car in the cold(sometimes). When I am stopped and move the steering wheel it increases the sound. Thanks

Not sure about where it is on your particular year and which X5 you have, but I believe it's on the passenger side of the engine, down low.

It's got an 8-spoke cap on it.

Sounds likely that the fluid is low.  BE SURE TO ADD ONLY THE BMW RECOMMENDED FLUID!
