BMW Repair: DSC light in 323i, wheel alignment, dry surfaces

Question
Hello,
I have a 2000 323i. I had the control arms replaced a few months ago at a BMW certified shop and when I picked up the car after I got to going down the road I noticed the steering wheel is no longer straight, it was cocked to the right. I called the shop back and they said I needed to bring it back for a 4 way alignment. I have not yet taken it back but now after driving for a month the DSC light has come on. #1 question is: I feel a reputable shop would never let the customer leave after a $1800.00 repair and a crooked steering wheel, I feel like the steering wheel was aligned wrong when the control arms were put in and nobody noticed. What's your take on that? 2nd question is: could the steering wheel issue and the DSC light be related. The DSC light had never once even flashed until after this repair and since I have saw it flash on 2 different occasions on flat, dry surfaces. Please any insight you may have will help.
Thank you
missy

Answer
(4 WHEEL alignment, not 4 way.)

Did they do an alignment when they did the control arms?  If so, they should have had the wheel straight.  If not, the changing of the control arms could have resulted in the steering wheel being slightly off, and they shouldn't be accountable.

The DSC is almost certainly NOT caused by the steering wheel or the control arms replacement.  Not sure what else you had done, but likely not due to any of the repairs.
