BMW Repair: 1997 BMW 740 BLOWER, 30 amp fuse, bmw 740

Question
Just bought a used 740 il the a/c is cold and the heat is hot except the blower is
not blowing. If I change the fresh air buttons sometimes I can feel it if i'm going
down the road. It seems like it is the vent pushing air through and not the
blower. Is the blower bad or maybe this resister thing I keep reading about, or is
it in the control unit itself.  Any thoughts?

Answer
you either have a bad blower motor or resistor. On you,re car these parts are under the dash, therefore the dash must be removed, if you are going to do that much work you should just replace both components.  the resister and the blower motor attache to each other.Check the fuses under the hood, sometimes the blower resistor/blower motor fuse blows, its a green 30 amp fuse under the hood under a black cover look at the owners manual.       hope this helps......          Thanks Nathan
