BMW Repair: E38 Engine Cooling Fan Control (fault code), random faults, decimal code

Question
My 2000 740iL is putting out the Peake R5/FCX-II Hex error code of 8d (table OF) "Engine cooling fan control" which translates to a decimal code of "141" It has not tripped the check engine light, but I routinely check the codes to see if there are any problems lurking.  I have cleared the code 5 times now,but it returns after I use the defrost button or push the AC on button.  It has been around 0 degrees (F) for the last few weeks.  The auxiliary fan does not come on when the AC button is turned on (even though it is coldout) The only other code that occurred once was the Hex "A4" code "Ambient Pressure Sensor" / Decimal code of 164 when it was -10 F this weekend.  Any thoughts are appreciated.

Answer
Our scaner is a GT1 which is a factory scanner. So youre fault code numbers do not translate, I will tell you these cars give allot of random faults for no reason, I would wait for a light to come on before i got to concerned,  Thanks Nathan  P.S. the auxillary fans do go bad often , depending on outside temp the fan should always come on when the a/c is on
