BMW Repair: 2000 BMW 318ti Hatchback Aerial/Keys/Wiper, bmw 318ti, antenna amplifier

Hi, 3 questions about some faults in the BMW I have had about 3 weeks.  1. The radio was fine for 2 weeks and now reception suddenly has got very bad.  I have been told the aerial is in the back window.  Could this have been a loose connection.  Anything I could look at?  2. My remote works intermittently.  I have replaced batteries.  It seems it works only if I point it at certain parts of the car i.e through the driver window as opposed to towards the door. I think the second remote is the same so is this something wrong with the reciever? 3.Also not sure on the rear window wiper.  Do you press down once to make it go (continously) and then press down once to stop? It seems to have a mind of its own.  Your answers appreciated

Joanne, make sure you do not have the rear window tinted with metallic base tint. Aerial is in the back windows on regular E46's. We don't have Ti's in the U.S. so I'm not sure on your model. I don't know for sure on the wiper question, but most of our rear wipers work by pushing the stalk forward. The Antenna amplifier for the radio antennas and remote control keys is in the left rear C-pillar on U.S. models. Very often the CoAx connector is loose. You have to remove the C-pillar trim and light on our cars to access it. It may be faulty aswell.
