BMW Repair: My BMW wont start, dashboard area, car wont start

Question
Hi I have a BMW 318i SE 2001 plate. 91000miles. And its been sat in the drive for more then 4 months. And the car wont start. I have charged the battery up - and all I get when I turn the key is a cliking noise from around the steering dashboard area and the rev counter vibrsates very fast - all whilst attempting to crank the car/engine. Hence the engine does not make a noise at all.

Also altough I can get into the car with the key, I cannot use the buttons to function the car alarm either!

Could you please point me in the right direction.

Answer
Gaurave, replace the battery or use a jumper battery. The battery voltage is too low. You would like to see it over 12.45 volts after letting sit with the lights on for 3 minutes. I would replace it, it sounds as if the battery has been damaged by sitting discharge for an extended period.
