BMW Repair: E46 heater blower fault, heater blower, anwsers

Hi Evan, Dam fine job your doing!! I have a 1998 E46 328i auto and the heater blower has stopped working, the climate control buttons and display all seem to working correctly but nothing is actually happening? ie blowing any air out the vents! i have been reading your other anwsers to previuos questions and worked out that it is probably the blower relay or the heater unit itself but i would like your opinion before i spend loads of money on the wrong parts !!Kind regards Glenn

Glenn, I would indeed remove and inspect the final stage resistor for the blower fan. If it has the old style cast iron fins for the heat sink then replace the unit. New style has better aluminum fins. This unit is far from loads of expensive. Usually $90-$140 USD. Thank you for reading others posts on similar complaints.
