BMW Repair: Brake pad warning light, brake job, new sensor

Question
I have replaced the pads on a2000 323 after the pad light came on.At that time both sensors were cliped off. Does the wires have to be separated or joined to keep the light off.

John the wear sensors are about $15.00 USD each. Replace them on every brake job. I don't feel right telling you how to cheat a system that is there for your safety. Leave the key in the on position without the engine running for a few minutes once you have the new sensor installed. Remember you are driving a BMW.
