BMW Repair: 1999 BMW 323i speedometer/instrument cluster, bmw 323i, 1999 bmw 323i

I have a bmw with a damaged instrument cluster.  My mileage is lower than the one that I am purchasing used.  I am about to purchase a used one with 90,000 miles on it.  Mine only has 67,000 miles.  Which mileage will show up on my screen.  My original mileage or the newer mileage which is obviously higher than mine?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Ralph, higher mileage will show. You will also get a red manipulation dot in the cluster telling you that the cluster has incorrect mileage making it unlawful to resell with out disclosing correct mileage. Are you sure that the new cluster came from a car with the same options as yours. I would save up and by a new cluster and have the dealer code it correctly transfering the mileage.
