BMW Repair: 2201 330ci DSC+ABS+Break light yellow, bmw service, angle sensor

Question
about once a month dsc+abs+break lights in the dash illuminate yellow. usually after night in the garage it goes away. bmw service told me it's failure "fc 5e5b asc bottom 5e43 sas 5d93"; they told me that steering angle sensor, left speed sensor and the DSC control unit has to be replaced with a quote of $1500 :-(
Is there a way to verify it/get parts and do it myself cheaper?

Answer
Rafi, I need the last seven digits of the VIN number to pull these codes. Pay to replace the steering angle sensor first, it is a pain to replace so I recommend you save yourself the headache, plus it needs to be encoded and calibrated by the dealer. Have them clear faults and drive the car for a while and see if the lights return. Request a copy of the fault print out and diagnostic report when you go back in. So you can see if you have the same faults. It keeps them honest. Not that they aren't.
