BMW Repair: cv boot, guide bushings, cv boot

I have a 2001 bmw x5 in need of left front outer cv boot replacement,what should I expect to pay for such a job?

Kevin, 3.5 to 4.0 hours labor is normal + parts. You will need an outer CV boot repair kit and the brake caliper rubber guide bushings and an axle lock nut. If the Boot has been torn for a while the Tech may recommend changing the entire axle. Axles are usually over $500 a piece. Safe bet is to go with the axle, but if you caught it early and it is not making noise then go with the Repair kit.
